The genesis for this table was a commission from a client who wanted the monolithic look of large limestone blocks without the inevitable weight.
Laminated over a 5/8" plywood is cast reconstituted resin-bonded stone. Actual molds from natural fossilized limestone were used.
Indistinguishable from the real thing, these stone bases weigh less than 50lbs. The 3/4" deconstructed and polished edge glass elegantly finishes the look. |
